Building a nation

Australia has a long history of steelmaking, with steel production dating back to 1901. Australian steel has been used to build our railways, bridges, highways, create our cities and manufacturing our cars, toasters and washing machines.

Today, our steel is still the foundation for the nation’s roads and railways, office buildings, houses and apartments. Our businesses are working with customers to come up with innovative solutions, creating award winning buildings, new generation energy and infrastructure projects.

Sometimes it’s hard to get a sense of all the great things we do so we’ve pulled together an overview of some of our big projects. We’ve also thrown in some interesting stats, so let’s get started.
