LIBERTY Magona donates €10,000 to help Ukrainian refugees

The team at LIBERTY Magona has raised €10,000 for Ukrainian refugees through employees donating an hour of their wages, which was then matched by the company.

The campaign was supported by permanent and temporary employees as well as the local RSU union.

A cheque for the full amount was handed over to the Mayor of Piombino, the town in which La Magona is based, and other members of the local council by Lino Iallorenzi, the Director of the plant (pictured third from the right in the main image).

The Mayor thanked the Magona team for their contribution and for the importance of their gesture of solidarity.

The funds will be used to help the local Ukrainian refugees, including 60 children, to integrate and help facilitate their linguistic and educational integration.
