Thanks to the efforts of a cross-LIBERTY team, LIBERTY has successfully implemented a new SAP IT system which will greatly improve its control of operational business processes: sales and material management, inventory, finance and costs, as well as improving lead times for orders and deliveries to customers. The project.
The project to implement the SAP S/4 Hana system – which is a highly regarded Enterprise Management System – started in April last year and was delivered on time and to budget. The project included the installation of the system, adapting it to the requirements of Polish law as well as training for the initial 50 users across the plant’s Accounting, Controlling, Purchasing and Supply departments. The change was made to bring Częstochowa’s systems in line with group standards, according to the “GFG Way for ERP” template, and to replace a legacy financial system which was currently no longer being supported or updated. The system will be extended in the future by launching new modules and functionality to become the gold standard for other LIBERTY teams across Europe.
“I was impressed by the very positive attitude of employees at Częstochowa to the changes being introduced. Both in the IT Department and among users in accounting, procurement and commerce, there were no problems with the adoption of these new solutions. Everyone treated it as a new experience.”
Elena Khrystenko who, together with a team from LIBERTY Ostrava, managed the implementation of the new system.
