GFG Foundation celebrates Rotherham graduates
GFG Foundation and mentors from LIBERTY Steel Rotherham proudly celebrated bright young minds at the students’ graduation ceremony.
They marked the completion of GFG Foundation’s pilot educational programme, which launched in March this year.

20 students from two local schools have been working on a project called ‘A Renewable Rotherham’, a task designed to engage the students in sustainability and environmental considerations of their local community.

Integral to the programme are the volunteer mentors from LIBERTY Steel Rotherham and their commitment to giving young people the opportunity to develop their STEM skills and improve their employment prospects for the growing green jobs market.

During the ceremony day, the students demonstrated their much improved communication and presentation skills, before accepting their Bronze Industrial Cadet awards with plenty of cheers from their teachers, the GFG Foundation team, LIBERTY Steel mentors, and partners Engineering Development Trust (EDT).
