The Global Health Challenge is back!
Get your walking gear ready, because the Global Health Challenge returns for its second year, from 25 September to 19 November!

The Global Health Challenge brough to us by the Safety team, aims to help us develop healthy habits by encouraging us to be active while having a bit of fun and friendly competition along the way – creating a healthier workplace. Here’s a look at last year’s challenge, and what you can expect this year, below.

The challenge will run from the 25th of September to the 19th of November.

Some of the innovations this year include running at least two different categories.

  • Premier League – This category is designed for the top 20 teams from last year. They will be allowed to change only one team member from last year’s team and they will be measured by a combination of most improvement vs 2022 and the number of steps
  • First Division – Other teams; they will be measured by number of steps.

Registration will open in the last week of August, and a mobile app is being developed for recording and tracking performance.

A look at the 2022 results!

Doing the challenge last year has made me conscious of the number of steps I have been doing daily. I may not be doing 10,000 steps every day, but I know when my step count gets low and I make the effort to increase it.

Having this awareness has made a real difference to my health and mental wellbeing over the year and not just during the 8 weeks of the challenge.

If you want to encourage health and well-being why does the implementation of joining the cycle to work scheme for your uk business always get rejected. It’s doesn’t have to be run every year and all through the year I worked for Outokumpu and then did it every 2 years and only for a three month period for applications so it didn’t take too much time and up for everyone involved

  1. Hey. Was just wondering when the applications will open? Also, would I be able to do it solo or do I have to have a team?

    Thanks,
