We want the GFG Alliance to stand out as a global beacon and leader in creating a sustainable future for industry and society.
To that end, we have given employees around the GFG Alliance the opportunity to share their GFG stories with colleagues and people outside of the business.
Over the coming months, we will be releasing videos featuring employees from around the LIBERTY Steel Group talking about their experience of working for LIBERTY.
Garth Coan is a Production Manager working at the Aerospace Service Centre at LIBERTY Speciality Steels in Bolton.
Having worked in the industry for over 36 years, Garth has seen a huge shift in health and safety practices and is very proud to have had no lost time accidents on-site for over 16 years.
Along with the rest of the management team, Garth has turned the business around and made it a very profitable part of the aircraft supply chain.
Brands that earn employee trust through their commitment to the brand purpose, gain a significant advantage. As a result, we have seen employee advocates become beacons of trust on social media because they can amplify the sentiments of the brand in an authentic and believable way.
That is why we have started our own journey to create brand advocates amongst our employees.
We will be expanding the advocacy programme to other GFG brands so whether you work in LIBERTY, ALVANCE, SIMEC or one of the Family Office businesses, your chance to shine is coming.
If you are interested in becoming a brand advocate or you know of a colleague who you think could be one of Our Everyday Heroes, please put your hand up by emailing kim.stoute-purvis@gfgalliance.com Head of Brand Strategy.
