BBC’s ‘Inside the Factory’ visits ALVANCE British Aluminium

ALVANCE British Aluminium’s Fort William smelter in Scotland was featured in the latest series of the BBC Two ‘Inside the Factory’ programme.

The episode followed the engineering processes used to manufacture trains, which aluminium plays a crucial role in. As the last primary aluminium smelter in the UK and as a low carbon aluminium facility, ALVANCE British Aluminium was the perfect site to take viewers on the fascinating journey.

Well done to the talented Lochaber team for showcasing what they do best!

Particularly to Lead Engineer, James Tangney, who expertly guided presenter Cherry Healey through the smelting process.
