Big week for GFG Foundation Australia
Education charity GFG Foundation celebrated a big week as it rolled out its very first Juniors Programme in Whyalla, South Australia, and expanded its year 9 and 10 programme to George Town, Tasmania.

Students in Whyalla, South Australia, were joined by their teachers, and mentors from LIBERTY for the Juniors Programme launch. Up until now, GFG Foundation programmes have been open to students in years 9 and 10. The launch in Whyalla marks the very first time students in years 7 and 8 will be able to benefit from the Foundation’s educational opportunities.

The programme’s roll-out in George Town, Tasmania, also represents a big milestone as it follows LIBERTY Bell Bay’s official inauguration into the GFG family.

COO GFG Foundation Australia, Jonny Samengo said:

“This week is a very significant one for the GFG Foundation in Australia, with the launch of two new programmes in two states. We are delighted to welcome students and mentors from George Town in Tasmania to our year 9/10 programme. Likewise, we are excited to be launching our first Juniors Programme for years 7 and 8s in Whyalla, South Australia.

We are very proud to continue our partnership with CSIRO and Prince’s Trust Australia, who deliver the programmes to market in all states in which we operate.”
