Our Town episode showcases Whyalla

Following a several days of filming last year around the region and our South Australian operations, the Whyalla episode of Our Town has now screened twice throughout Australia on free-to-air television. 

A collaboration between GFG Alliance and the Whyalla City Council, produced by Visage Productions, the Our Town episode can now be seen worldwide via vimeo at OUR TOWN Whyalla 2023 or by clicking on the image below.

Featuring footage and interviews from our LIBERTY Primary Steel steelworks and SIMEC Mining Iron Ore operations in Whyalla, the Our Town episode showcases Whyalla as a city on the move, an awesome place to live, work and play while outlining the growth that is happening in the city. 

To quote the presenters of this nationally screened television series, “Whyalla is in transition to take advantage of once-in-a-generation opportunities, a city built on a strong industrial past, and powering into a bright future.”
