LIBERTY Częstochowa joins the premier league

LIBERTY Częstochowa is now a proud major sponsor of its local team, RKS Raków Czestochowa, which also happens to be one of Poland’s leading football clubs.

The sponsorship means that the steelworks’ logo will appear on the players’ jerseys, as well as on advertising boards in the stadium, LED screens during matches, in TV and Internet reports and the club’s publications.

Century-long relationship

Raków Częstochowa Football Club has been associated with the plant since the 1920s, while the then Częstochowa Steelworks built the club’s stadium opposite the plant for its employees in the 1950s. The steelworks was the owner and main sponsor of the club until the early 2000s. More recently the club has achieved great success, winning the Polish Cup in both 2021 and 2022, as well as coming second in the national league which meant they also qualified for the UEFA Europa Conference League.

At a joint signing ceremony last week with Krishnamoorthy Venkatasubramanian, the General Director of LIBERTY Częstochowa, RKS Raków President Adam Krawczak, said:

“I am extremely pleased to welcome LIBERTY Częstochowa to our key sponsors for the new season. We are linked by a long history, so we are all the more happy to stand shoulder to shoulder again today to further develop our club. In recent years, we have made great progress and are growing in strength, thanks to which we attract such excellent partners. We thank the management of LIBERTY Częstochowa for their faith in our club. I am sure that this is only the beginning of our long-term cooperation, which will bring much joy and reasons for pride to the Częstochowa community.”
