LIBERTY Ostrava’s Rolling Academy celebrates new graduates

With the objective to impart both theoretical knowledge and practical skills of rolling technology, the Rolling Academy concluded two specialised courses at the end of 2022, at the Medium Section Mill of LIBERTY Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

18 employees attended the course last September and November, trained by experienced experts from the Rolling Mills and the R&D team., and acquired basic expertise and skills in metal rolling over the course of 20 lessons.

The programme also included practical training, which took place directly in the rolling mill environment. At the end of the course, the participants had to put their newly acquired knowledge and skills to the test, which they all passed successfully.  

The aim of the programme is to supplement the knowledge and skills of the rolling process and technology, and provide continuous technical support to staff. A total of 25 of our employees have already successfully completed this internal program.
