Last weekend the team at LIBERTY Magona yet again sponsored one of Piombino’s major events – The Voluntary Work Festival – which every year takes over the streets of the town. The Festival, which is promoted by the Municipality of Piombino, is an opportunity to raise awareness of the town’s main charities, give them a chance to enlist more volunteers and raise donations. It is also a great opportunity for the town to recognise and thank existing volunteers for their work, their time and their skills.
Thirty international and local charities and associations, such as the Red Cross, Unicef and San Vincenzo de Paoli, that took part in the event which filled the streets of the town center with their coloured gazebos while the Galantara Marching Band also took part and brightened up the day with their rhythmic music. The Festival was a great success both for the non-profit associations who participated and for the thousands of visitors to beautiful Piombino.

After last year’s Festival was cancelled due to the weather, this was a great opportunity to get to reconnect and remind people about the importance of dedicating one’s time to serving everyone.”
