Our new global mental health and wellbeing safety program

World Safety Day launch for We Care

Coinciding with World Safety Day, we are taking a step forward to strengthen our safety culture by launching our new, global mental health and wellbeing safety program We Care.

Built in line with our Be GFG Safe vision, We Care aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of our people, reduce psychosocial harm in the workplace and break the stigma around mental health issues.

At GFG Alliance, we believe psychosocial safety goes hand-in-hand with physical safety.

Just like we build safety programs to prevent physical injuries, we will use the We Care framework to identify psychosocial hazards in the workplace, manage the risks and prevent psychosocial injuries.

We Care is underpinned by three pillars:

Over the next month, our safety discussions will unpack the framework so that we can identify, eliminate and minimise psychosocial hazards in the workplace. But importantly, provide access to tools and resources should you or a teammate need support.

Our safety culture is built on trust and it is what sets us apart as a business. We genuinely care that our teammates get home safe to their loved ones at the end of each workday. We look out for one another and intervene if someone is at risk, because a conversation can save a life.
