The Globetrotters – who came out at an impressive #7 overall, with their Captain Mohammed Rizwan taking the 3rd spot individually! This was one of the few global teams that made their debut this challenge, with members from UAE, USA and Australia.
SINTER GALATI (Toader Dobrin Craciun, Costel Pomana, Iulian Mocanu, Nelu Radu, Gheorghe Postolache) took the top position in the Premier League with the team collectively clocking 8,114,130 steps! An improvement of 134% over last year.
Members of the winning team BENCH WARMERS from Tahmoor, Australia, consistently topped the leaderboard and closed off the eight weeks with an impressive 7,940,809 steps. They were joined by and Chafing The Dream, for a post challenge walk!
5 Steppers of Summer – Samuel Castillo, Brad Wells, Randy Day, Stephen Deeming and Adam Hurley from Sydney Steel Mill on finishing in 12th place globally with a massive 5,653,441 steps. They got their steps through a mixture of activities like going on walks together, cycling, going to the gym and just trying to be as active as possible.
On the last day of the challenge, the team did a 20+ km walk around Sydney Harbour which they say was a lot of fun. Randy and Brad both lost over 10kg during the challenge, and they all improved their fitness. The team made a special mention to Randy who always contributed a high number of steps.
Their message to others is to get on board next year so they can have some local competition. They had a lot of fun, and it was great for team morale. L-R in picture with medals Sam Castillo, Brad Wells, Randy Day and Stephen Deeming. Not present Adam Hurley.
