LIBERTY Ostrava at the Green Deal Summit

Executive Director of LIBERTY Ostrava, Pavel Sedivy, was flying our CN30 banner at the Green Deal Summit in Prague on 26 September. The high profile conference started off with speeches from Petr Fiala, the Czech Prime Minister, who was followed by Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, who highlighted the efforts the EU is making to deliver its Green Deal.

Pavel was on a panel, with the Czech Minister for Transport, which was discussing Hydrogen and its industrial and commercial deployment. Pavel highlighted Ostrava’s GREENSTEEL transformation plan and the importance of EAF, DRI and Hydrogen technology in delivering the huge reduction in carbon emissions we are targeting across the group in the run up to 2030.

All in all it was a great event to be associated with and a great opportunity to share our decarbonisation vision.
